MONTHLY MEETING
November 11, 1993
The meeting was called to order by Camp Commander Bob Shaffer followed by the
recital of the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer by Camp Chaplain Bill Lindberg.
Other members in attendance were:

The minutes from October's meeting were read and approved with no changes.
OLD BUSINESS:
Joe Long established a checking account for the Camp.
The Memorial Association gave the Camp $750 to start the account.
Bill Lindberg asked if the checking account would be bonded.
Joe said that he would check in to it.
Bill Lindberg also reported that he has been checking into local newspapers
for publicizing our Camp.
He mentioned The Happening, The Abington Journal and The Times.
Bob Shaffer reported that currently This Week in the Poconos has been
advertising the Museum and Library.
Bob Price also mentioned he would contact the Carbondale News and
would contact Bill Lindberg with his progress.
Dennis Rightmire suggested that the Camp obtain a business card to hand out
at different functions and events to advertise the Camp.
Joe Long suggested dropping 5 members from the Camp's roster.
They are:
Buberniak, Humen, Kelly, LaGrassa and Solomon.
A motion to drop these members was made by Bob Yeager and seconded by
Russ W. Jones.
All were in favor.
Bob Shaffer reported that the person who had purchased the cannon from the
Forest Hill Cemetery had sold it even after he had said it was purchased to
refurbish.
Attorney Reed is still on the trail.
NEW BUSINESS:
Joe Long suggested that an ad be taken out in the Bishop Hannon High School
Yearbook. A
discussion was held with many different suggestions.
Bob Yeager suggested that we donate to the school with the largest
student body.
Russ P. Jones suggested that a newspaper ad would be more beneficial.
Further discussions will be held.
Joe Long also suggested that we send out packages to the Camp members to keep
them more informed of what is going on.
Russ P. Jones made the motion and was seconded by Bill Lindberg.
All were in favor.
Bob Yeager suggested that any member requesting payment for items purchased,
also submit a receipt for these items.
All were in favor of this suggestion.
At this time, the election of Officers for 1994 took place.

With no further business, questions or comments, a motion to adjourn was made
by Bob Yeager and seconded by Chuck Jones.
