MONTHLY MEETING
November 19, 1998
The meeting was called to order by Commander Russ W. Jones, followed by the
Pledge of Allegiance.
Other members in attendance were:

Due to lack of members, no minutes were available for the October meeting.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
Joe Long read the financial report with the following information:
End Balance as of October - $1,448.21
Help members fund $252.50
Ticket winner for October - Dan Granick
OLD
BUSINESS:
Camp dues were raised to $20.00 per year starting in 1999 to cover
the $3.50 per quarter Department dues.
Still waiting to meet with Mr. Smith regarding the uniform the Museum
purchased.
David Kleinpeter was the guest speaker at our dinner held on October 24th.
Camp turnout was very poor.
We need to consider different ways to get members out for these
types of events.
NEW BUSINESS:
Stephen Killian was transferred from the National Membership at Large to
Camp #8.
The Camp received the Junior Membership application for John Hart III, son
of member John Hart.
Joe brought up the idea of having an essay contest next year.
Ron Albert is considering running one in his area (Montrose).
Joe made a motion, seconded by Bob Yeager, to move the start of the Camp meeting to 7 p.m. The motion was unanimously approved.
Russ P. Jones made a motion to close the Camp meeting and open nominations of
Officers.
Nominations are as follows:
A vote of confidence by the Camp members present was given to Mark Myers to fill
the office of Camp Chaplain.
The 50/50 drawing was won by Russ W. Jones.
With no further business, questions or discussion, the meeting was adjourned.
