MONTHLY MEETING
January 17, 2002
The meeting was called to order by Commander Phil Jones, followed by the Pledge
of Allegiance.
Other members in attendance were:

The minutes for the December meeting were read.
A motion to accept the minutes was made by Russ W. Jones and seconded
by Joe Long.
All were in favor.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
Joe Long read the financial report with the following information:
66 Members have paid their dues.
Help members fund $253.50
End Balance as of January $1,805.49
Interest on CD’s $60.57 to date $1,321.00
December ticket winner – Adrienne Coyne
Joe also submitted a receipt to replenish his expense account.
A motion to accept the financial report was made by Russ P. Jones and
seconded by Russ W. Jones.
All were in favor and the report was referred to the audit committee.
OLD BUSINESS:
Joe Flannery is due to attend the February meeting to talk about the Medal of
Honor Winner Monument.
He will let us know how much money he has collected and what is still
needed.
The clean-up for the Museum has been changed to March 23rd at 9:00
a.m. in the morning.
Joe will bring the donuts.
NEW BUSINESS:
Russ W. Jones brought in another article on theft charges levied on the
Pritchard family.
Bob Baker reported that he visited Charleston, SC and also that he had toured
and seen the USS Hunley on display.
Secretary Shaffer made a motion that the regular meeting be adjourned and
that we begin the installation of Officers.
Joe Long seconded the motion and all were in favor.
At this time, PA Department Senior vice Commander Bob Shaffer installed the
Officer for the New Year.
