January 18, 2007
The meeting was called to order by Commander Bob Baker in ritualistic manner followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a Roll Call of Officers.

Minutes of the November meeting was read and a motion to approve was made by Ray Sulger and seconded by Bob Shaffer.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Joe Long read the financial report with the following information:
Members Help Fund at $197.50. $50 was sent to Victor Fox.
Russ Jones was the January winner of the 50/50.
End balance of $4,314.21 in the checking account.
99 members have paid their dues to date.
A motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report was made by Bob Shaffer and seconded by Mike Grayson. All were in favor.
OLD BUSINESS
No progress was made on the repair of our camp bible. John Hart said he would give the bible to Al Sweeny for repairs and Joe Long offered to bring in a temporary substitute.
The video aired on Channel 44 and Joe Long said people he spoke with liked the program. There may be a follow-up video on the Spanish American War artifacts. Mike Grayson made copies of the presentation for circulation among members.

luncheon will take place in
Remembrance Day
Lieutenants Al Sweeny and Dave Heisler were in charge of the Delaney-Delacy Guard during Remembrance Day and reported everything went well except for the fact that our unit, its flags and the Ladies Auxiliary were separated into various groups by the organizers of the parade. Those who attended stated they disliked having our unit divided and would prefer all our members be kept together in the future.

Guard to participate in the annual Lincoln Day ceremonies to be held in

Captain Hart said we have
successfully secured new flag poles for the GAR plots in Dunmore and
Joe Long said our present location is secure until at least June. Several options, including the possibility of staying here are under discussion.
NEW BUSINESS
Correspondence
An application of membership for Jerry Sicotlesici was presented and a three-man committee consisting of John Hart, Ray Sulger and Rich Ryczak
The annual Lincoln Luncheon
will be held by the Gettysburg Camp on Saturday, February 10 at
Department Order #2 by Lee F. Walters, Commander, Dept. of Pennsylvania was read.
Sharing Our Heritage
Bob Baker asked if we could arrange to bring in some speakers for presentations after our monthly meetings. Howard Wolfe said we’ve discussed the possibility that members might share information about relatives who participated in the Civil War and this could fit right into such an agenda. Joe Long added that if we decide to bring speakers here we should inform members by newsletter so they can attend. The possibility of allowing the public to attend such events was also discussed. No decisions were made at this time.
