NEW BUSINESS:

The Appomattox luncheon will be held in Scranton on April 12 at 1:30pm at the Clarion Hotel.  Also on that day at 4pm will be a rededication ceremony at the square for the Soldier and Sailors monument.  Commander Hart asked Joe Long, Frost Decker and Ray Sulger to work together and make sure that all Department Officers, Officers of the other Allied Orders, The CinC, as well as re-enacting units, be invited to this important event, as well as every member of Camp #8.

On Feb. 12, any member of the SVR that can attend the Luncheon ceremony in Philadelphia should contact Captain Hart for information.  The Camp will also be providing a wreath for the occasion.  A motion was made by Joe Long and seconded by Bob Baker that we provide the wreath, passed.

Commander Hart reported that he and Brother Todd O'Malley will be hosting a luncheon on February 18th at 12 noon at the Scranton Club for President's Day.  No other information was available.

Ray Sulger brought up the fact that this year's Department Encampment will be in Ligonier, PA and its a 5 hour drive.  Because of this, Ray made a motion to move June camp meeting from the third week to the second week: it will be the 12th instead of the 19th.  The motion was seconded by Joe Long and passed.

Russ Jones brought up the fact that some time last year we were going to update the camp by laws.  He believes that last time was 1999 or 2000.  Bob Baker said he will check with the camp Secretary and bring the latest copy to our next meeting.

FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER:

Commander Hart asked that all future meetings Brothers should wear their membership badge as it is in the Nation Constitution and Regulations.

With no further business, questions or discussions, a motion to adjourn was made and the meeting was closed in ritualistic manner.
