MONTHLY MEETING
EZRA S. GRIFFIN CAMP #8
December 14, 2024
The meeting was called to order in ritualistic fashion by Senior Vice
Commander Tim Chase.

All members received a digital copy of the minutes twice prior to the
meeting.
A motion to accept the November minutes was made by Bill Burns and
seconded by Jerry Skotleski.
All were in favor.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Howard Wolfe stated the camp balance.
A motion to accept the report was made by Bill Dixon and
seconded by Giovan Lisi.
All were in favor.
CORRESPONDENCE:
All communications from the Department and National have been forwarded
via email to all members.
NEW BUSINESS:
A decision was made to postpone Installation of Officers for 2025,
so that more members could be present.
It was also determined that due to the holidays; a
Zoom meeting should be explored.
Secretary Dixon was tasked with reaching out to
Department Commander Bill Fischer.
A discussion was held on the Lt. Ezra S. Griffin sword.
Tim Chase and Bill Dixon updated the Camp on the continued work of
locating Last Veterans.
Treasurer-elect Jerry Skotleski gave an update on dues payments
received so far.
Secretary Dixon received an invoice for payment from Miss Daunyel
Shaffer for the webpage for 2025.
Bill Burns asked about the webpage traffic and if it
is still worthwhile for the Camp to have a webpage with social media being a
more predominant source of information.
A short discussion was held, and Secretary Dixon was
asked to reach out to Miss Shaffer for information.
Secretary Dixon asked that the motion be tabled
until the January meeting.
A discussion was had on possibly investing in a higher-end
scanner/printer to allow for the digitalization of Camp Records.
It was brought up that it could possibly be a
purchase between the Memorial Association and the Son’s to benefit both
Organizations.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
Postponed until December 28th
via Zoom at 10am.
GOOD OF THE ORDER:
Tim Chase thanked the members in attendance for voting him in as
Camp Commander.
A thank you was given to Bill Penwell, Bill Burns and Paul Rogan for
the work they continue to do for the Museum.
A discussion was had on the upcoming 250th
signing of our Countries founding.
Jerry O’Malley thanked the members in attendance for the hard work
being put into to keep the camp moving forward.
He hopes that all the great ideas he continues to
hear during meetings will be followed through on.
Secretary Dixon offered to out a list of unfinished
business from 2024 altogether and forward it to all brothers.
Jerry Skotleski offered thanks to Giovan Lisi for continuing to
carry the camp flag in Gettysburg during the Remembrance Day parade.
The next monthly meeting will be held on January 18th
at 10am.
With no further business, the camp was closed in ritualistic manner by
Senior Vice Commander Tim Chase.
