MONTHLY MEETING

EZRA S. GRIFFIN CAMP #8

March 15, 2025

The meeting was called to order in ritualistic fashion by Commander Tim Chase.

Other members in attendance were:

Officers Excused: Bill Fischer, Jim Jones and Howard Wolfe

All members received a digital copy of the minutes twice prior to the meeting.  A motion to accept the February minutes was made by Bob Shaffer and seconded by Giovan Lisi.  All were in favor.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Jerry Skotleski stated the camp balance.  A motion to accept the report was made by Giovan Lisi and seconded by Hal Myers.  All were in favor.

SICK MEMBERS:  

Commander Chase informed the members present that his father has been dealing with some health issues.

CORRESPONDENCE:

All communications from the Department and National have been forwarded via email to all members.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

Bill Dixon provided an update on the last veteran ceremony.  The cemetery is onboard and will assist with anything we need.  Bob Shaffer made a motion to purchase the last veteran star at the cost of $55.00.  This motion was seconded by Bill Burns.  All were in favor.

A discussion was held on the Lincoln Ceremony.  The following is the preliminary listing:

• Posting of the Colors
• Greetings – Commander Chase

The next monthly meeting will be held on April 12, 2025 at 10am.

With no further business, the camp was closed in ritualistic manner by Commander Tim Chase.
