MONTHLY MEETING
EZRA S. GRIFFIN CAMP #8
May 17, 2025
The meeting was called to order in ritualistic fashion by Commander Tim
Chase.

All members received a digital copy of the minutes twice prior to the
meeting.
A motion to accept the March minutes was made by Jeremy Allen and
seconded by Bob Shaffer.
All were in favor.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Jerry Skotleski stated the camp balance. There are some outstanding checks. A motion to accept the report was made by Bill Dixon and seconded by Paul Rogan. All were in favor.
SICK MEMBERS:
Hal Myers continues to deal with some medical issues.
APPLICATIONS:
Patrick Abdalla to join.
CORRESPONDENCE:
All communications from the Department and National have been forwarded
via email to all members.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
The final planning for Memorial Day was completed.
A short discussion about the Last Veteran Service for Mr. Chapman was held. Bill Dixon received the marker and brought it to the meeting for the members to see.
Bob Baker provided an updaye on the GAR Memorial Higheay sign for Wyoming County.
An update was provided on the return on Lt. Griffin's sword. All members in attendance thanked Bob Burns, Charlie Spano, Bob Baker and Paul Rogan for leading the effort.
A discussion was held on getting a wreath for
the Wyoming monument ceremony. Tim Chase will forward the information to
Bill Dixon, who will send an email with the prices and conduct a vote via email.
NEW BUSINESS:
Bill Dixon reminded everyone attending the Department Encampment needs a card signed by him.
Bill Dixon made a motion for a full page ad in this year's Encampment book. The cost will be $60.00. Bob Shaffer seconded the motion. All were in favor.
A short discussion was held on the National Encampment being held in Gettysburg in 2026.

With no further business, the camp was closed in ritualistic manner by
Commander Tim Chase.
