OLD MINUTES (TRANSCRIBED)

 

These Minutes are transcribed as to the best of my ability.

 

A regular meeting of Liet. Ezra Griffin Post No. 139 held at their rooms on the evening of August 8th 1879, Commander F.J. Amsden in the chair.

The Post was opened in the usual form.

 

A re-election of Franklin M. Kent was duly received and balloted for which resulted in Franklin M. Kent being duly elected as a member of this post.

 

The Officer of the day reported Robert Campbell in recruiting for muster, he having been regularly elected as a member of this Post.  When Robert Campbell was duly Mustered in.

 

Report of Committee on names reported that they had selected several names as follows: Daniel S. Gardner, William Bloss, G.M. Courson & Lieut. Ezra Griffin.  Motion that the Post be known as Lieut. Ezra S. Griffin Post, Carried.

 

On Motion a committee of three was appointed to draft a Code of By Laws.  Committee: Conrad Pearce, Clark & Millett.

 

No further business, the Post preceded to adjourn with the usual form.
